Round 2

Hey y'all

Okay so Round one kinda didn't go the way i planned, but that's okay.

let's see in the west I wanted: Detroit, Minnesota, Nashville and Vancouver to win

In reality, Detroit, Anaheim, San Jose and Vancouver won.

In the east I wanted: New York Oilanders, Tampa, NY Rangers, and Pittsburg to win

In reality, Buffalo, New Jersey, Rangers and Ottawa won.

so only 3 of the teams I was cheering for moved on however I still love Buffalo and the only reason I wasn't cheering for them was because they were playing the heart of edmonton

My wants for this round:

in the west:

Detroit Red Wings (1) vs San Jose Sharks (5)- Ya know, I think I'm gonna cheer for san jose on this one. the only reason I was cheering for the Red Wings was because they were playing the Shames.

Anaheim Ducks (2) vs Vancouver Canucks (3)- Go Canucks! Kick those Ducks to the Curb.

Now for the east:

Buffalo Sabres (1) vs New York Rangers (6)- You know I should have done this last round when the Sabres were playing the Oilanders. I'm staying out of this pick, who ever wins, wins... i'll be happy either way. My apologize to Sabres for not doing this in the first round.

New Jersey Devils (2) vs Ottawa Senators (4)- I can't believe I'm doing this but GO EASTERN CANADA. Blow the Devils right out of the series!

... It's Playoff time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right boys and girls which means it's time for Sabby's playoff predictions (well more like wants)

Before I write my predictions, do you know what's really funny.... The two teams that duked it out in last years stanley cup round or not in the playoffs this year... and yes that means my beloved Oilers are going to shine their golf clubs and hit the green early this year

Anyways, Let us start with the West:

Detroit Red Wings (1) vs Calgary Shames (8)- Well needless to say Do Wings go! I would never be caught dead cheering for the Shames. Over my dead body!

Anaheim Ducks (2) vs Minnesota Wild (7)- Quack Quack Quack. Quack your way to the golf course ya Ducks! Go Minnesota!

Vancouver Canucks (3) vs Dallas Stars (6)- Go 'Nucks Go!

Nashville Predators (4) vs San Jose Sharks (5)- The Predators have played very well this year and deserve to win so my money is on them.

Now for the East

Buffalo Sabres (1) vs New York Islanders (8)- Why must they make me choose between my favorite teams in the East. I love Buffalo however since the heart of Edmonton is playing for the Islanders now, my support goes to them.

New Jersey Devils (2) vs Tampa Bay Lightning (7)- Go Lightning Go!

Atlanta Thrashers (3) vs New York Rangers (6)- I love New York as a whole too much to not support them so Go Rangers Go

Anyways those are my predictions!

So I was in Lethbridge the past 10 days just getting my last project and essay done. I handed everything in at 9:15am this morning and I am officially done now. Now I'm going to be a nervous wreck till I find out my grades.

Okay so it's been a seriously long time since I last blogged. I'm almost worse than Lethbridge Colin

I'm almost done my work at Citytv... I'm going to miss a lot of people. They are all so great!! And today I found out that Brad the Editor was an Adrossan boy and went to Ardrossan... hahaha so we remembered some of the teachers there... mostly the bad ones hahaha (which is like all of the them... but some were good.) Good times, Good Times.

I'm going to Lethbridge on March 31st. I'm very excited to drive my sexy beast down to Leth and give it some hwy time... and use my cruise control, something I missed with Old Blue. I also get to see some friends so me very excited. Oh and let's not forget the media project and the 4000 word essay. You know, I don't even think I know 4000 words.

Nothing else is really new... I work, I veg out, I sleep and FRidays i see my friends.

The End of Reading Week

Okay so the one thing that sucked this week is that since I'm doing my internship I didn't get my reading week. HOW UNFAIR IS THAT?!? I think it is super unfair. Although I did get Family Day off, which was cool.

This week was interesting. I was on TV, I met a country star. Next week will be cool too... I'm going to this 'artists' house and seeing if there's a story, I'm going on a shoot on wednesday,

Work is going okay, ya know... I love the people at work and am totally going to miss them all when i leave. I entered myself into an Oscar pool... I wasn't originally going to be a part of it but then decided to anyway. So I better win! hhahaha

I talked to Boston today. Apparently Hendrik is talking alot but there's only like 20 words or so that are 'real' words. I told annika to teach hendrik my name. haha so hopefully by the time they come for grad, he'll be able to say my name. He apparently is a huge troublemaker... haha the stuff susi told me makes me laugh but she rolls her eyes cause she's always around it. Annika is going to start kindergarten in maine in the fall... she informed me of that but I already knew that... But she is worried about making friends since she is shy but i assured her everything will be okay. They found a house in Maine and their offer was accepted so now they are in the process of putting their house on to the market.

That's all I guess, nothing new, the friends are still urking me. I called the guys Jerk cubed on friday.(since they were all being jerks and there were 3 of them) which then reminded me and bethany of T squared. hahaha I'm not going to say anymore on that.

People, People, People

So I've been thinking... Why is it that the people that mean the most to you, hurt you the most. I just don't understand it. These are the people that know you the best, know what makes you tick, can tell when you are mad and know when to leave you alone, they are the people that shouldn't be the ones hurting you the most. And if they don't... that's just messed up then... that's when they take things to far and you want to strangle them.

I've been irked about this topic for a few days now and I wish I would understand it, but I don't.

Maybe it's partially because you have expectations for the people you know and are close with and when they don't fullfill the aforementioned expectations, you are disappointed in them and are in shock that they 'underacheived'

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but shall anyone have any insight to this topic please let me know cause i'd like to understand.

So I wrote the top part today at like one am but I need to add something. I am in like the worst F---ing mood ever and it's all my brother's fault and I'm going to pay him back so bad he won't know what hit him... mark my words, i tell ya PAYBACKS A BITCH

I question why the hell I decided that Edmonton would be a good place to do my internship. Personally I think I made the wrong choice... I should have gone and done my internship far far far far far away where I know no one... I wonder if the black hole would have had a good internship spot for me.

Think about who do I really have, not just in E town but at all... I really don't have anyone. I have a friend that is jealous, I have a friend that doesn't listen and can't keep a secret but expects you to listen and keep secrets. Then I have one that uses stuff you tell him/her in confidence against you when he/she is in a bad mood. Oh and let's not forget about the friend who doesn't hang out with anyone. And the last one well this friend just doesn't care and isn't there for me and I don't think he/she really knows me. AND THIS ALL SUCKS! It really does cause it certainly isn't cool that I have NO ONE! And this is just my closest friends... i could write a whole essay on my family.

Beating that dead horse

This is in no offense to anyone who likes horses i'm not physically harming any horses or any animals for that matter. Colin says it when we bring something up for the millionth time. Bethany reminded me of that saying today when I told her a story.

You know what I hate besides Double Standards... being Mad. Honestly I really hate it but some people just decide to piss me off. It gets worse when the person pissing me off doesn't even know they are, even when it's very clear that I am... or doesn't care... that could be it too. I mean really Ask travis, he pisses me off and then his safety is at risk cause I start beating him up... and then he cries because Sabby hits hard and doesn't show any mercy hahaha no he doesn't cry but the second part is true.

In other news, my internship is still going great... i've been showing up at 6am the last couple of days... same will go for tomorrow... I still am having a hard time with sleep though and I guess it's not helping that i'm waking up at 4am. Oh well..... And I have no life.... and I don't think I will have a life till retirement.

Sabby is pathetic!

... That's right, I'm very pathetic.

Let me explain: Yesterday I stayed half an hour longer at work so I didn't leave till 5:30pm then I met Colin and Jordan for drinks. I had a pornstar, the boys had beer. Then Colin went home and me and jordan watched the Hockey game... However Sabby was sooooooooooooooooo tired that she couldn't stand being there any longer and went home. I felt bad though that i left Jordan all by himself, but he assured me that it was okay and that he would be leaving soon. So I first went to blockbuster, but they didn't have the DVD I was looking for, so I was sad. I came home just before 9pm and I put 'the lakehouse' into the DVD player and then at 10pm decided to turn off the TV and go to sleep. So yes Sabby went to bed at 10pm, fell asleep at 10:15pm ON A FRIDAY NIGHT.

Oh wait it gets even more pathetic... My parents weren't even home yet from their dinner thing.

So I have a week done at Citytv. It's been a good week. Everyone there is so nice and let me tell ya, it was really weird meeting a few of the people I met because I knew who they were because I've seen them on TV. Kinda weird.

This week I did some time coding and research on hopefuls for a feature that is ongoing, that part kind of sucked, timecoding was okay though. But Yesterday was fun!!! For a good chunk of the day I was editing and learning about tape to tape editing!!!!

Yes boys and girls this is the first post of February.

It's the day before work starts... whoot whoot, so much to do today though...

I'll post again after my first day at work.

So lots has happened lately... like snow shovelling, skiing in jasper with the friends, getting my eyebrows done and finding more work clothes. You gotta love Smart Set for good looking clothing.

Today I'd like to make a quick comment on Double Standards. Bethany and I had many conversations about Double Standards going up the chair lifts yesterday at Jasper. And this whole things holds true for like every guy i know, no exceptions. I mean really why is it okay for a guy to do something and get away with it and if a girl does it it's like the end of the world. A good example is one night stands. A guy does it and he gets like praised by his guy friends but if a girl does it, she is seen as a slut. I also have individual examples for like every guy I know but I won't get into that. I just think it's completely dumb.

So V day is coming up... hahaha I hate going into stores anywhere because everything is decorated in Pink and Red. Like gross god i hate those colors so much... why can't they be other colors and what's with the shape of the hearts? I mean a real heart DOES NOT look like that. All this day is, is a hallmark day because they need money. The Simpsons even pointed that out in one episode where a card shop's profits were down in July so to get them up they created Love day. Same concept ya know. I swear i should hold an anti v day party!

Hey friends

I got this bag from Germany and it says 'ohne dich ist alles doof' and it's really cool so i thought I'd use that as my title.

I haven't blogged in over a week so i thought I'd say Hi and update you. Although there isn't much to update you on. There was a 'heated' discussion between me, colin and bethany last friday which left us all slightly angry but all is good now. After things cooled down me and Colin talked and everything was good again. My real brother turned 26 this past week... hahaha he's almost 30, poor sucker.

Work starts soon... 10 more days or so. I'm excited... i start 9am on feb 5th
I still can't believe it that i don't live in lethbridge anymore and that i don't actually have to drive back to leth at the end of the weekends.

You know what I hate... People being fake... honestly I just don't understand. You see i have this friend that pretends that everything is good but really isn't. This friend puts on a front for everyone and then just complains about their friends to one person. Like come on people let's be real. This isn't Jr High or High school. Grow up! Act your age.

Other things are also going on but i will not write it in my blog but it really does make me ask myself why i care so much... i'd really be better off just to take care of me, myself and I. And maybe if i just got rid of my heart... hahaha i'd be a heartless ignorant bitch. Ya that works for me.

Well boys and girls I am back from Germany. I had a great time for the most part... Went to visit relatives up in north germany (which as some of you know, 2.5 hrs of that part of my trip was hard...) and i went to austria ans shopped for my internship... i have some awesome new clothes now and hahaha i can now say "I got this from austria" Me and my austrian cousin have the same shirt... thank goodness we live on different continents. and when my cousin sonja (in hamburg) celebrated her birthday... i celebrated too... maybe even a little too much, if ya know what i mean hahahaa and seeing Timo was very cool too... hahaha giftzwerg!

Celebrating New Years in germany was cool too... man though the germans are sooooooooooo unsafe with fireworks... we canadians probably would be thrown in jail for the unsafeness. hahaha talking about Jail.................... hahahaha sorry i just had to say that and laugh... 2 of you will know what i'm eluding to.

All in all a good trip (minus the 5 times where i'd wake up and not be able to breath... that kinda sucks)
